PRILEP, NORTH MACEDONIA

Prilep is a town of 75,000 people that is located in the southern part of Macedonia. It is also known as the Town of Markov Towers due to the impressive medieval fortress built by the legendary hero Krali Mrako. Tobacco is the main industry in the area. In Prilep there is a unique institute about tobacco and also a museum. The town is also famous for the white marble and the local brewery.
